For the first time in a decade, siblings Colette, Johan, and Lisa reunite for a winter holiday on the South African coast. Each has built a life elsewhere, trying to outrun the long shadow of their mother, Annatjie. She arrives like a hurricane, forcing each of them to confront how much they still bend around her gravity, and whether that hold can finally be broken.
